The Lottery Unit (Counterterrorism Unit), also known as the Lottery School (Counterterrorism School), is an elite unit in the IDF that is responsible for training all IDF units in the areas of counterterrorism, sniping and other areas.
Alongside this, the unit's fighters carry out special and varied training, missions and operational activities, are active in times of emergency and are on constant alert for the operation of terrorist incidents.
The unit's soldiers wear a red beret with an infantry emblem.
