Description

Army Special Academic Officer (KAM) Black rank.

Awarded to a soldier in the reserve service who has an academic degree in the profession he studied and has not graduated from an officer's course at the officer school.

This rank is awarded as of November 2022.

The rank is equivalent to the rank of major and is shaped like a flat vine leaf with a parchment scroll in the center.

Academic officers are entitled to the rank of special academic officer (KAM) under the following conditions:

Academic officers in reserve service only.

Service in the rank of CA for at least five years.

Active reserve service in the rank of KAV for at least 65 days.

Pure active reserve service in the rank of Kab will be at least 10 days.

The minimum age to receive the rank is 29.
