The Balloon Operator serves in the IAF or the Intelligence of the army, and had a four weeks course which qualified him to work with the maintenance and operating the balloon in convention and routine. In this course they study the principles of Aerostatics, Aerodynamics in aspect of the balloon's behavior in the atmosphere, Meteorology, etc.
The service is in one of the CU in the north of Israel.
