During his tenure, the Chief of Staff Aviv Kochavi ordered to add additional olive leaves to the Beret / Cap badge of the Chief of Staff, which was the official Beret symbol of the IDF - a Magen David with a sword and an olive branch on it with the inscription below: Israel Defense Forces.

The previous beret symbol he used was transferred to the headquarters General Command Officers and their old beret symbol was taken out of use.
