The Cyber Spectrum and Defense Division is a key unit within the IDF’s Cyber Intelligence and Defense Directorate.

This division is responsible for safeguarding Israel’s cyberspace — including the internet, computer networks, information systems, and all digital infrastructure.

The Cyber Spectrum and Defense Division mission also includes managing the IDF’s Electronic Warfare (EW) systems, monitoring cyber activity, and preventing cyber-attacks.

Established in 2016, the division operates in close cooperation with national cyber agencies and additional intelligence units, such as Unit 8200, to ensure the continuous and secure functioning of the IDF during routine operations and emergency situations.
