The Yahalom Shoulder tag represents the elite special‑operations engineering unit of the IDF Combat Engineering Corps.
Yahalom (Diamond) operates under the General Staff and works both independently and alongside other special forces units.
Most of its missions are classified, and it is considered the highest engineering authority in the IDF.

Yahalom possesses advanced and unique operational capabilities, including:

• Engineering breaching and offensive demolition
• Bomb disposal (EOD) and explosive neutralization
• Operation of advanced military robotics
• Defense against CBRN threats
• Engineering commando operations and tunnel warfare

Core Mission Areas

The unit carries out a wide range of special engineering missions, such as:

• Precision demolitions and controlled building explosions
• Sabotage of enemy infrastructure and handling explosives

• Clearing minefields
