Official IDF Home Front Command – Jerusalem District Vintage Shoulder Insignia (Until 2016)

Short Description:
An authentic, vintage military shoulder unit tag of the IDF Home Front Command – Jerusalem District, featuring the classic design officially used until its redesign in 2016.

A prized, highly collectible piece of Israeli military heritage, perfect for memorabilia collectors, historians and veterans who served within the Jerusalem district.

Historical Background:
The Israeli Home Front Command (HFC) was established in February 1992 following the strategic lessons of the First Gulf War.

This conflict marked the first time since the 1948 War of Independence that Israeli civilian population centers faced direct, large-scale missile threats. Prior to the HFC's creation, civil defense responsibilities were fragmented between the Civilian Defense Chief Officer Corps (HAGA) and Regional Defense sectors, with each of the three major regional commands managing its own independent home front units.

These organizations were unified after the Gulf War under the unified Home Front Command, with the Jerusalem District serving as one of its most vital and strategic operational sectors.
