The LOTAR unit is task is to train special antiterrorist unit's counter-terrorism in the IDF counter-terrorism interaction base. The unit is responsible for training the elite units of the army in the field with a very broad area that includes training of instructor's counter-terrorism, terrorist snipers, teaching counter-terrorism doctrine (doctrine) and more. The Antiterrorism unit school (LOTAR) is the only unit that guides and authorizes the intervention and takeover of units of the IDF.
