Military ribbon of the second Lebanon war (2006):

The Ribbon of the second Lebanon war is an Israeli appreciation awarded by the IDF or the Defense Ministry for participants in the Second Lebanon War.

Under the decisions of the Ministerial Committee for Symbols and Ceremonies. Because of the nature of this war, and deep involvement of civilians in the rear, this ribbon was awarded to thousands of civilians, unlike other war ribbons of the State of Israel.

The meanings of the ribbons appear colors:

Red - the blood of the fallen,

Orange - Front notation system was damaged in the fighting (Orange is the color of HFC - Home Front

Red and White - symbols the flag of Lebanon cedar wood, Blue and White - the colors of Israel national flag.

The Yom Kippur War, Ramadan War, or October War also known as the 1973 Arab–Israeli War and the Fourth Arab–Israeli War, was a war fought by the coalition of Arab states led by Egypt and Syria against Israel from October 6 to 25, 1973

The 1982 Lebanon War - "the first Lebanon war called Operation Peace for Galilee by Israel, and later known in Israel as the Lebanon War and First Lebanon War, began on 6 June 1982, when the Israel Defense Forces invaded southern Lebanon. The Government of Israel launched the military operation after the Abu Nidal Organization's assassination attempt against Israel's ambassador to the United Kingdom, Shlomo Argov.

 

The War of Attrition (in Arabic "Sword to – Astnzaf") was a war between Israel and Egypt, which began on March 8, 1969 and continued until August 7, 1970, when the parties agreed on a cease-fire. The war began as an initiative Egyptian exhausted Israeli: the name "War of Attrition" ("Sword to - Astnzaf") was given by the Egyptian President Gamal Abdel Nasser.

The war ended in a Strategic draw - Neither side managed to eradicate the forces of the adversary. The war ended in exhaustion of both parties.

For many years the war of attrition did not have formal recognition by Israel, and its fighters were decorated with the letter operational service for their service during the fighting. Only in 2003, after a delay of 32 years this Ribbon was awarded to soldiers who participated in The War of Attrition. In January 2003 the Israeli government determined that a Signal / Ribbon war of attrition will be given to those who served in the IDF at least 30 days during the period from 11 June 1967 to 8 August 1970.
