During the first year of the service of the "Standing Army", every combatant undergoes an entry course.

At the conclusion of the initial entry course, the resistors will receive this pin.

The duration of "Standing Army" service in the IDF is divided into two types: Initial rank - Servants up to the rank of Sergeant First Class rank (Rav Samal) or captain (inclusive). Permanent rank - Servants from the rank of First Sergeant rank (Rav Samal Rishon) or Major and above or officers with the rank of captain who hold a rank of Major in accordance with the Standard.

A "Standing Army" servant is not considered to have tenure until he becomes a permanent "Standing Army" distinct employed.

The contract to which the initial "Standing Army" service is signed confers his remaining in the army beyond the first seven years in the rank of First Sergeant rank (Rav Samal Rishon) or major.

Without this rank, he must be retired for budgetary reasons.
