The course of Marine control Supervisors lasts two months and take place at the naval instruction base in Haifa.

The course's goal is to provide deep and profound knowledge of the procedure of controlling and proficiency of marine traffic, elements of navigation and directing boats, operation of sonars and radars and professional knowledge about various types of radio devices and other advanced technological systems operated from the operator's station.

The coastal Radio Operator is responsible of identifying, recognizing and verifying different types of boats and suspicious movements in the sea, and if needed to alarm and to send to the object one or more of the naval guarding boats or the air force planes, for better identify. After the operator gains enough experience, he/she start working as supervisor of the Coastal Radar Operator's station, and granted with the "senior" metal badge.
