Parachute Anti-Aircraft Unit 7298
"YanMam" 7298 (parachute anti-aircraft unit) was an elite unit in the IDF, which specialized in operating mobile anti-aircraft means beyond the enemy lines of the FIM-92 Stinger (Barken) type launcher.
The fighters of the unit wore red berets and organizationally belonged to the anti-aircraft formation but were directly subordinated to Division 98 - the fire formation.
The unit's symbol is a combination of the bat wings that represent the anti-aircraft system since its establishment, combined with the sickle symbol of the "Fire Shaper" (Division 98) and decorated with the Star of David.
The unit was founded in 1992 and operated until its closure in 2014.
