The Sword Battalion (299th Battalion, also called the "Minority Unit" or the "Druze Battalion") is a reserve infantry battalion, and formerly a regular battalion in the IDF, where soldiers from the Druze community serve.

The battalion soldiers wore red shoes, and wore black berets.

The battalion was closed in 2015 when it was decided to integrate fighters from the Druze community among all the combat units. After its closure, it was decided to change the number of the 8135th Reserve Regiment to the 299th Regiment.

In addition to the operational activities, the battalion is also involved in preserving the legacy of the battle and accompanying the families of the fallen and injured of the regular battalion that was closed.
