Shimshon Foxy Battalion (Givati Gadsar) pin The patrol battalion (846) of the Givati Brigade (also called the Givati Gadar), named after the Samson Fox Patrol Special jeep unit that operated during the War of Independence. The battalion was established in 2001 and became the first brigade reconnaissance battalion where the independent brigade companies were consolidated into one battalion as part of a reorganization of the infantry brigades. The battalion has four companies: 1. Patrol Company (PLSR) - Also known as the Givati Patrol 2. Anti-tank company (Planet) - known as "Dikla" 3. Sabotage and Engineering Company (Palahan) - also known as Dolb 4. Contact Company (Falihak) - also known as Maor
